Li-ion is much more sensitive to thermal runaway. A few years back the
yacht PlayStation, Steve Fosset's record setting cat, blew out about 1/3
of one hull due to its li ion bank exploding from being improperly
charged. Also cell phones can do the same if the charger malfunctions or
the battery shorts. -Ken
