    dont even think about another alloy tank companies who put alloy tanks in
    boats should be keelhauled

    Aluminum tanks are good, if they're installed properly. They need to be on
    "bunks" up out of the bilge water and otherwise well secured. To further
    protect their bottoms, you can coat them with coal tar epoxy.

    If you can get the tank(s) out, they will cut off the corroded bottom and
    replace it. I don't know the type of aluminum, but you should insure that
    the welder knows the type of the existing tank(s). But you must change how
    your tanks are installed to avoid the same thing happening again.
