Sorry for my tardiness in posting on this question.
I was wondering if the folks who are opposed to the Yahoo solution might again express their reasons. I have seen recent references to some push-back on that idea but didn't see the specifics of their complaint.
I happen to run a number of Yahoo Groups and might be able to either assuage your concerns or verify that Yahoo might not be the best solution.
I do find it to be a very good system with lots of options that could bring some real improvements to the liveliness of this venerable group. And I'm not getting paid for my positive opinions, nor will there be any benefit to me if the group happens to choose that option. Even Stephan thought it might be the right place for us to drop anchor, as it were.
Best regards,
Tom
Tom, et al,
I am a moderator on two Yahoo sites MTOA and CHB and we have had no problems. I would also like to know what the objections to it's use.
Like you, I have no interest as to where the live-aboard list goes------so long as it is somewhere!!!!!!!!!!
More curious than anything else.
One thing that I like abt Yahoo is that members of the list can change their individual personal settings without input from the moderators.
That is, elect to get the digest, individual e mails, or read the posts on the web among others.
