If an artist creates something, he owns it. If it was my idea to create a
live-aboard list and I spent my time and money to get it to this point after
14 years, I would be very offended if someone tried to solicit my members by
advertising on "my" list...... that he had created another list and they can
all "resign up" based on some self concieved notion that there was a mandate
by the members. There is no mandate that I have seen.

You are right here about loyalty...this has nothing to do with loyalty, only
    the lack of it.

You just made my case in the above paragraph!!
If this is done properly, I would appreciate and be just as loyal to you for
your hard work and losses you have listed above.

By posting on this list you have solicited the members to join another list.

Sounds like you are soliciting to me.

No need to hold your tongue, only to do this properly with loyalty and
respect. I am not bashing you, only trying to show that this is not the way
to "help the list". Be patient and perhaps we can all be supportive of your
efforts and the whole list can remain intact.

No need to be offensive. I do not want to join a new list, only keep this
    one in tact.
