The new list is almost ready for prime time.
The last thing is that Merrill is going to donate
liveaboardnow.com to the list (Thanks Merrill!). So as
soon as we get the domain transfered to my server we will
be ready to go. The list will be
. I chose a program called
Mailman to do the list and it does have a web interface so
that you would be able to manage your account from there
as well as view the archives. It does still take the
normal commands through email as well for those who can
only do email. The archives are not searchable at this
point but I am looking into a few ways to add a search
feature.
One question I have is do we want to have everyone
resubscribe to the new list or try to obtain the list of
everyone on this list and have me bulk add them?
In talking with Merrill he brought up the fact that if
everyone resubscribes that it would help to clean out any
extra addresses that are in the system that my no longer
be needed.
So if everyone is OK with resubscribing that is the way to
go.
