    You need a "full" alarm on your tank. Sealand sells them. They consist of
    a replacement cap for the big opening on the top of the tank (about 3" dia)
    with a level switch attached. Then you make up (or buy $$$) an alarm box
    with buzzer/light/switch to let you know when the tank if full.
     
    We don't have a filter on the vent because we have a vent pipe that ends
    about two feet above everyone's head.
