Thanks to all for the good advice on the transmission. The breather on top
of the transmission appears to be clear, but I will double check that. I
will also check for water in the fluid. If both of those are o.k., the next
step is to pull the regulator valve to see if it's working properly. I'll
let you know the outcome of my investigations.
