To get to the bottom of the tank a hose will curl up. You can use a copper
pipe but I use a length of PLASTIC HOT WATER pipe as it has a smaller
diameter than the cold water plastic pipe. To the top end of this I have a
garden hose fitting that makes it easy to connect to my Jabsco elec pump,
110V that is set up to take garden hose fittings.
Just another way to do it.
John, I went to a trophy shop years ago and had small brass plaques made
that say: diesel water waste, the appropriate one is attached to the
cabin side beside each deck fill. After 22 yrs I STILL check every time I
add water, diesel etc.
Oh yes, don't beat yourself up abt the mistake, I put some diesel, abt a
pint , in a water tank one time!!!!
The reason for the plaques!!! That was right after I got the boat.
