    Norm, thanks for the info and I think I will install a polishing line like
    you suggest. BTW, what kind of hose/tubing do you recommend for the
    polishing system. My dual Racors are on the back wall of the engine room
    about 20 feet from the drain plug?

    However, my immediate problem (& I didn't fully articulate it) is that the
    lowest fitting (drain) is a plug that I have to remove in order to install a
    valve & barb that I can attach a hose to drain off the water. I believe
    that I have to empty the tank in order to do this.

    To Empty the tank I first tried from the deck fill hole and could not get
    the hose through. Now I have removed the top sight tube fitting and should
    be able to insert a hose in there to transfer fuel to other tanks. I will
    let you know how I make out.
