...and then I will add that I have used a Magma Charcoal grill for 18
years, and love it. The cover stays put once on, and it should be on
when cooking (cover is only off when lighting and burning off the
starter). We end up using it around once a weekend I guess, and
sometimes both days if it is hot out. The charcoal stays good even over
our winters, if left onboard.
You will also hear other "horror" stories about 'charcoal briquets'
spontaneously conbusting in storage. Utter poppycock. Charcoal
briquets do not have enough mass to produce the heat necessary to
spontaneously combust. Anthracite coal on the other hand most certainly
will combust spontaneously if the right conditions are met...whatever
they are.
