I just returned from 5 days on the West Coast with my two sons, my
son-in-law and an instructor on a 42' sloop. Great!

However, after a week of sitting on a boat, my walking legs were not in
great condition to continue my training for an up-coming walkathon. My
wife was beating me up on the hills!! <grin>

I remember reading years ago about a guy who installed a stationary
bicycle attached to some sort of generator. He got his exercise and
recharged some power to the batteries at the same time.

Has anyone ever heard of such a set-up, or know anything about it?

    Thanks.

    John
