As far as I remember, the nesting period for birds is not time dependent
(within reason), If you remove the eggs, she will lay more. Remove the nest
and she will build a new one.
I would shed a tear, dump the nest, and allow the bird to continue with its
reproductive activities in a more appropriate spot
On the other hand, if you are a ... (whats the marine equivalent of 'tree
hugger'?) then a local university might well want to incubate the eggs and
later release them in an area deprived of the type of bird which laid those
eggs.
The sooner you react, the sooner the bird will get on with its business
