I, too, would like some local knowledge about Boston.
I would like to anchor somewhere and dinghy in to explore the town. Can
anyone help me there.
As for the Cape Cod Canal, it does have a strong current, but... We go 7
Kts. If we go through the canal with the current it takes about 45
minutes, if against the current about an hour and a half. Onset is a great
place to visit on the south side of the canal. There is only exposed beach
on the north side.
Because of our draft, eight feet, we have not explored the South Shore much
but can highly recommend visiting Gloucester, one of our very favorite
places.
