Be careful using silicone grease. It will damage some plastics.
I tried it on battery ends in flashlights to reduce resistance due to
corrosion but it destroyed the AAAx2 Pelican flashlights I used in on. The
plastic cracked then just fell apart. Pelican replaced the flashlights
(bless them) and I now use Vaseline on the battery ends instead.
