Milwaukee has a newer version of the RAD drill in 28volts. Bought it and the
bit, but have had problems operating the drill in the reverse mode as it
keeps breaking the cap screw that helps hold the chuck onto the main
threaded shaft. Into the service shop three times for replacement of the $3
screw, no issues with these guys doing the work under warranty- talks with
the factory guys didn't get me very far and gave up the idea of them helping
with the issue. Was going to weld the chuck to the drill, but my welding guy
told me to try the 'red' thread lock - this stuff needs heat to break it
loose once set.
The red stuff worked great - no cap screw in it as the last one broke and
didn't replace it. Guess the 18 volt model didn't have the torque this bad
boy has!
