:-) the story of corn syrup vs sugar is worth reading. Manning's
books _Against the Grain_ offers a readable version of the shady
history of ADM. a more complete story is told in _Rats in the Grain_,
which alas is not nearly so readable.
sorry this is drifting a bit OT but it is in my bailiwick (agriculture,
sustainability) so I succumbed to the temptation to chime in.
