You know.... that's not such a bad idea... in spite of sounding "Mad Max"ish
In Alberta there is an ever increasing shortage of water, made even worse by
the use of millions of gallons of fresh water being used for oil extraction.
All they have to do is dump their sewage into the wells and it makes the wells
produce a renewable resource, in addition to saving clean fresh water.
It may sound like the idea stinks <grin> but I think it makes more sense to
use a waste product which produces methane, (a greenhouse gas which can then
be reduced by it's combustion) than to use a food crop like corn or grain to
produce methanol.
You think paying high prices for gasoline is bad ? Just wait until farmers
make more money selling their crops for fuel.
The currently rising price of corn, caused by it's demand for ethanol
production, is also increasing the cost of feed, thereby increasing the
production cost of things like chickens and eggs.
hmmm... now, where in the bilge did I put those old cans of beans ? :-)
Have a good weekend all.
