I am out of the States, but ALL TV sets are now supposed to have Digital
tuners, but there may be some still in the supply system that do not. The
digital system is very robust and eliminates most harbor reception problems.
Most US TV stations have a digital transmitter up and running and most have
2-5 program sources. ei: A Fox channel will also have a "MY" network in the
same feed. Most PBS stations have either 3 or 4 feeds. I own small cable
TV systems and have extensively tested these feeds. We carry them on cable
as digital but also in some cases convert them to analog as the quality is
better that the existing analog signals.
If you intend to use a TV ever on cable, check to see if the digital tuner
receives QAM signals used in cable systems, many do not.
