The Bahamas are very nice to visit and with free anchorages, dingy docks and
sometimes water, can be inexpensive. Normally you cannot work there.
There are a LOT of working cruisers in the USVI. There are construction,
tourism & boating jobs readily available. No work permits required. It is
a hard trip to get there and a long way from home, but there are cheap air
flights.
