$2/ft/month..... You too are dreaming or looking at out dated prices. I know
of only one place at that price. It is a dump (IMHO) w/no facilities & very
narrow slips (with boats way too wide to be in them safely). The slips are
for sale for an unbelievable $300,000 & the owners are trying desperately to
raise the rents. The neighbors (who built after the marina was there) have
formed a HOA to try to get it shut down or at the very least outlaw
liveaboards. When the BIG one comes, they won't be able to re-build!
Ah.... life in the Keys!
Just talked to a friend (long time Boot Key resident) being asked to leave
the municipal moorings. The city has a bogus reason (which they plan to
fight in court), but the bottom line is that their boat is just not "yachty"
enough. Life is just too short for all of that!
