I'm not for sure I understand all of this. As a pratical matter what does it mean? For instance, if you plug your portable gen. into the shore power inlet (on boat) will it power the ac eqpt. up to the rated watage? If not what can be done? Picture diagram??

and if the unit is not grounded to hardwire ground it is defeating the
