Seriously, Lew is right!
The cost of the isolation transformer is less than one years worth of fire
insurance.
In addition you can solve a number of dock power related issues by using an
isolations transformer.
For instance if you have a multi-tap winding you can also compensate for low
dock voltage.
If you cruise both sides of the oceans you can have a 230/120V changeover.
And with a few other modifications you have a universal dock power
input,good for anywher in the world.
