My new Iota 55A charger has started blowing polarity fuses. Because I power
the charger with a Honda EU-2000 generator and I noticed that, when I check
the polarity with a "plug-in tester"at the generator outlets, it shows an
open ground. I enquired with the local Honda service facility, and they
suggested that the inverter technology might be the reason for the open
ground. That doesn't make sense to me.
If someone has a Honda EU series generator and a polarity tester, could you
confirm that an open ground reading is either normal or abnormal. Then I
could know whether to have the charger or generator serviced. I have no
access to shore power.
Thanks,
Alan L. Lewis
