All 120 volt portable heaters seem to be limited to 1500 watts.

The big oil filled heaters spread the heat all over their bodies so that
nowhere gets hot enough to start a fire, but I like the little "cube"
heaters for their small size. The ceramic ones seem to offer nothing
special but high price, so I get the kind with wire heaters.

    I use them carefully.

Once upon a time a neighbor in a Charleston marina was restoring a steel
boat he got cheap because it burned.

One chilly morning he had put some paint or varnish on his new interior,
then went for coffee at the resturant across the street, leaving an
electric heater on to keep the boat warm.

After the fire trucks left, I heard he had it up for sale, cheap.
