    Above is the website link that can answer your question better than I can. I
    do know that it saved us when we were heading to Marathon from Punta Gorda,
    FL. On our trip we had lots of cloudy days, from little wind to lots of wind,
    it ran fantastic.
     
    In 15 knots it put out about 10 amps. It is by far (IMHO), the quietest wind
    gen I have ever seen or heard.
     
    Seriously, when other wind gens are sitting still, ours was cranking out the
    amps and was extremely quiet.
