The batteries were not warm to the touch that I could feel anyways. I slid
my hand down the side in the battery compartment and they were not at all
warmer than the ambient. All the cells on both 6 volt units were giving the
same sort of readings. That is why it puzzled me. I'm not going to panic now
but will check it again in a few days. Thanks for your input. I was hoping
you would come back to this post since I know you have some experience in
this.
