I disagree strongly with Rosalie about it being easy to tell if a sailboat
    is motorsailing.

The only way I can tell when a sailboat has its motor on is when I can see
water coming out of the exhaust port, so in most cases I am forced to
presume that all boats with sails up are actually sailing.

This can be a problem because I am forced to presume a boat with sails up
is sailing and act accordingly, while the motorsailing boat acts as if it
were a motorboat. This cross confusion can be dangerous.

We have discussed this anomality in the rules before and have come to no
    conclusions.
