I should have added:
My 1977 Newport 41 was built with an Atomic 4. The first owner refitted in
1994 with the Yanmar 35, 3 cylinder, including new Yanmar cockpit control
panel. None of the engine equipment is Capital Yacht installed.
More data: Engine is not running hot. Coolant level is normal. Water is
being discharged overboard normally. Oil level is full. No bilge alarm
since I've owned the boat i10 years ago. Level switch kicking on bilge pump
is functional. Boat is in Marina del Rey.
I'm at a loss. Does anyone have a manual describing this alarm???
Greg

What in the world is a Water Proof alarm????
I have a 1994 Yanmar 35HP 3 cylinder diesel in my 1977 Newport 41. The
Water Proof alarm won't stop. I have no earthly idea what this indicates.
It is the fourth light from the right going left on the cockpit panel. An
audible alarm sounds as well. It started very feebly intermittently
initially, now it is constant.
The only thing I have done differently recently is running about 10 gallons
of biodiesel through the engine. I wish I hadn't.
Anybody have any experience with a Yanmar Water Proof Alarm??
Greg
