The children gave Bob a folding bike for his birthday with the bag,
and he has used it extensively. He will hang bags on the handlebars
and/or have a basket in the back to do the marketing. I've also seen
little bike trailers.
I forget the name of it. I could not ride it because the seat was too
high off the ground, and couldn't be adjusted down. He tried a
regular bike that used to belong to one of the kids for me, but it
rusted in no time. He got me a second hand folding bike and fixed it
up for me and I have used it sometimes.
Unfortunately, we stow the bikes on the transom, and even in bags (he
made one for mine), they are pretty apt to rust. I've seen people
take them ashore in the dinghy and that seems to work OK depending on
the dinghy
Friends of ours on a trawler use those electric scooters. We were
going to buy a 'conch cruiser' in the Keys, but the initial
registration for someone who had never registered a car in FL before
would have made the car price double. So we just rented a car once a
month to do the major shopping.
Florida has pretty good bike paths and so do North and South Carolina.
