    I bought a full-sized Schwinn Montague that was pretty old when I got it
    10 years ago, and it is 'still ticking' - the advantage of the full
    size was that I could load it up with bags and bags and bags of
    groceries or whatever, and it would still work. Those wee bikes don't
    do that very well. A caution - many of the U.S. coastal cities we
    visited are not set up very well for bikes, or pedestrians. You have to
    go like stink to keep up with the cars or get run over. Canadian cities
    for the most part have bike paths, much safer.
