    Hi Zed

I'm in Australia near Sydney and I'm going to anchor in Sydney Harbour. It's pretty busy but I've done this before several times and never had any trouble. It seems that all the other boat owners are too scared to anchor except for a quick lunch. I would say there are no more than 10 boats anchored overnight during the week and there are over 15 000 boats on moorings!

I normally lay out my 2 anchors on their nylon rodes and have left my boat unattended overnight like this many times. This time I would like to buy some chain because the rodes often end up wrapped around the keel etc. In the past I have checked the boat daily but this time I'm planning to leave it for several days at a time without checking it.

    Cheers
    Mark
