In a message dated 10/5/2006 2:10:12 P.M. Eastern Standard Time,
     writes:

there was a discussion recently about electric sheets. Now, i've got a
v-berth and sheets don't fit that well. I've got queen sheets that just
barely fits at it's widest point and the rest is sorted smooshed into the v.
Would you recommend the sheets or the blankets?
    pros or cons for each?

I've tried both...MY preference, is the mattress pad, heating from the
bottom up. They also seem to have more heat at the base,...and heats a little less
in the element, as they get higher to the head. (stops around the thigh?)
Feels comfy. I like to pre warm it, about 15 min. before bed, to chase off the
    cold.

warm body, cool air to breath. I also use a sleeping bag, totally unzipped
as a comforter. It has the outside, with a canvas coating should condensation
    on the V-berth hatch drip.
I'm totally happy with this set up. my .02 cents
    Patrick
