<Sounds like quite a trailer. How much does your boat weigh? Is it an
aluminum framed trailer? Disk brakes on four wheels or just two?
Galvanized axles? What is your tow vehicle?>

It is quite unusual. It was custom built to fit the 24' trawler I have, and
is made of steel. The boat weighs about 6000lbs and the trailer is 34'-4"
long overall. It has a long tongue that is necessary to keep the tow
vehicle dry when backing into saltwater. It has stanchions and bunks that
fit the hull. It is a tandem trailer and Georgia and other states require
brakes on all wheels when the load is over 3000lbs. I am installing
hydraulic surge activated disc brakes with stainless steel discs and
aluminum calipers. They are designed for saltwater trailers. I will have a
gasoline powered pressure washer on the tow truck with a 30-50 gal water
tank...not sure yet. The washer used 2.5 gals per minute and I would like
15 mins to wash the trailer, brakes and boat down. The boat on the trailer
is 12'-6" clearance.
The tow vehicle is an 2006 Ford F-350 diesel dually. I always wanted one
and the boat gave me the perfect excuse. :>)
Check out my link below to see the boat specs and the photo albums to see
the boat, trailer (frame) and tow vehicle.
Thanks for asking,
