Well, at least the laptop was fairly easy to replace!
And I have redundant layers of back ups for the mechanical stuff too,
including the pumps.
Electronics are more vulnerable than most machines to salt water, so of
course backups are needed. Even fully sealed units can loose their
integrity as the handheld (Garmin 12 Map) GPS did, after many years of
exposure. -Ken
