Thanks for your continued interest. I will have pics of the
skiffs/pirogue/bi-plane catamaran thingies by this time next week-- at a few
phases of construction in fact. I'm basing the rig on an Ian Oughtred
design, except that although it's a lug sail, it looks more like a Block
Island or "cowhorn" sail. I will either keep my leeboard on a movable thwart
until she's balanced to satisfaction, or else skip the leeboard and just put
on a long shallow keel, like Oughtred's canoe. Each pirogue unbolts into two
somewhat viable skiffs, and the halves will nest into each other and lash
onto my truck's tonneau cover, or to one capacious bench of my St.Pierre
    dory's cockpit.

As embarrassed as I am to admit it, I got excited last night after putting
on some trim and making her pretty. I then couldn't sleep and worked until 3
a.m., only to go to work a few hours later. There's something to be said
about the aesthetics of a thing: it makes you lose sleep.

After she's balanced at a nearby lake we will proceed to waters way too
steep for our modest freeboard and dubious skills, as this seems to have
    become my special tradition.
