The police tried to find the gent who threatened me today and I would have felt some since of ... bad, but..
HE GOT ME.
My outboard tank was over 1/2 full of water. How? He replaced the good clean gas I'd just bought with substantial amounts of water. Not so hard to do as I kept - KEPT - my gas can in my dinghy.
Now it is becoming like my new pocket book.
Good thing is I met a man who saw me struggling and he showed me how to take it off, dump it, clean spark
plug and all the different points I need to fight the good fight against barnacles. My dinghy is always in the water as I'm at anchor. I have the scraping with a shovel at low tide thing down, the outboard just got a little bit out of my control. There are great people in Cortez. Fine people.
Setting her up with oars and oar locks this week.
Adding this to the list for hearing next Wednesday but would prefer to be left alone to live, go to work and live in peace. Restarting my academic school year job this week and don't want to be intimidated. Just want to work. Hug the pugs. Paint on the boat. Build haul out refit fund.
