    Thanks for everyones help, turned out it was the guage. Reseated wires
    and whacked it a bit and it came to life

     mechanic says it's life is over..... lets see....1 hour to get ready, 1
    hour out of harbor, 1 hour back in, 1/2 hour trying to single hand one
    engine into slip, gave up. Called vessel assist, they could be over in an
    hour, flagged down harbor patrol, normally they don't tow, but it was a
    quite morning so this could be considered training, cancelled vessel assist.
    1 hour waiting for mechanic, 1/2 hour looking at filter & gauge... decided
    it was the gauge and it should be ignored...........

    I am kinda tired now, time for beer and nap.
