A forty foot boat is not too big for one or two people.
A pearson triton, which I am very familiar with, is 28.5 feet, much too
small for living aboard comfortably in my opinion. For one person with
very simple requirements it may work out, but for most people, and remember
that one person may turn into a couple in time, 38 and up would be a much
more practical size.
