Hi, Everybody!
I just got some bad news from my current insurance provider (Inamar). They want $5,586 to insure my 1985 Hans Christian Traditional. This is up from $2,817 last year! I have been calling every insurance company I can think of to get a better quote. I have been turned down by all of them for the following reasons:
1. The boat is in Florida (Orange Park, near Jacksonville)
2. There is a hurricane in the Atlantic (Chris)
3. The boat is now 21 years old
So far, I've been rejected by Pantaenius, Progressive, United Marine Underwriters, World Marine Underwriters, Allstate, National Boat Owner's Association, Geico, Empower Solutions, and Admiralty Insurance Agency. I have a perfect driving record, and have never had an insurance claim in the 8 years I've owned this boat.
Does anybody have any ideas on where I can get a better quote?
Thanks!
-Robert Doty
