We sell solid state blowers on our site for installation with our automatic
    vent controller.
    http://www.yandina.com/batVentInfo.htm
We sell a lot of these to the "off the grid" people who have large battery
banks that need automataic ventilating when on charge to remove moisture and
gasses. The controller runs for another 45 minutes after charging ceases to
    dry the chamber out.

The fans we sell use solid state commutation so they are suitable for the
    hyrdrogen atmosphere in battery boxes.

The ones we sell are priced retail - NOT DISCOUNT - and I'm sure you can do
better - perhaps even at Radio Shack. We buy them commercially and mark
them up enough to pay for the trouble but the truth is they are sold just as
a convenience for people who don't want to do the research.

    Regards,

    Ann-Marie Foster,
