I would point out that inflatables are made from two different types of
materaials, PVC and Hyphalon, PVC will not last long in strong sunlight but
is much easier to patch, Hyphalon (which I bet Norm's dinghy is made from)
lasts much, much longer in sunlight, is a lot tougher, but is harder to
patch, weighs more, and guess what?, costs more, so most folks will not buy
it. Well, if you buy with the eye on the 'bottom line $' don't feel put out
    with the results.
I have an Acheilles dingy, almost 25 years old now and would be OK if the
nut with the fish knife had not sliced it because I left it in 'his' spot on
    the dock.-Ken
