Laptop hard drives are not expensive and appear to be universal. I just
bought two (100G, 5400rpm, 16MB buffer) for our Dell 8200s for $120 each.
Same with optical drives, bought a pair of 2-layer DVD burners for about
$75 each.
Memory is about $70 for a gig.
