I agree with all that has been said - ginger beer, ginger snaps work for us
for minor nausea - stugeron for offshore and more serious bouts. A word of
caution on Stugeron - for some people, it tends to trigger some interesting
side effects. Example is a determination to walk over to the house a few
metres away (were 100nm offshore at the time!) took some persuasion to
convince the person concerned that it was not real. In my case - I have no
side effects till I stop taking it after the second day out - I get REALLY
irritable. Family and crew now know about this and are so well behaved on
the second day! They know that I will be on a very short fuse for about 12
hours and keep out of the way!!

I also like the Stugeron, it is available in Bahamas, Turks & Caicos & DR,
probably BVIs as it is a British medicine. It does cause some drowsiness.
I try to take it a few hours before starting out, then I am clear headed
again for the harbor exit. Plain Stugeron is 15mg, "Forte" is 75mg, 15-30mg
is enough for most any sea.
Another good trick if you are already sick is to chew, but not swallow,
Dramamine Original formula chewable.

Chris,
What I've read so far MAY work for minor nausea or to get rid of that queasy
feeling, but to get rid of the dry heaves caused from emptying your stomach
by repeated bouts of seasickness, I swear by Stugeron Forte. You can't get
it here in the states, but you can get it in Mexico, and other places
abroad, I'm sure.
