Some people rarely get seasick, and some often do. I have never been
seasick when sailing and have only been motion sick when I tried to
read in the car when I had an earache.

Everyone has their own remedies. One that has been proven by
experiments to work for SOME people is ginger as in ginger ale, ginger
snaps, ginger bread, ginger candy, and just plain ginger pills.
Pressure bands have not been proven to be effect in any scientific
study, but each person has to find what works for themselves. Some
people wear a patch or take medication.

Bob's remedy is to look at the horizon and eat saltines. He likes to
put the person who is feeling green at the wheel. I like hot tea and
sleeping. When I get nauseated from tension, the nausea goes away
    when the tension is relieved

The people that get seasick may get their sea legs after a couple of
days. I have no experience of that myself, but Bob's best man was on
a destroyer and he said he was always sick the first three days.
