I concur. Toshiba is junk. I bought an expensive ($450) handheld
(e740 pocket pc), in 5 monthts they discontinued it because it had
several major hardware issues and stopped all support for it. They sold
the same thing with hardware revisions under a new name (e750) and
alienated all the people who bought the first version. it pissed
millions of people off not just me.

imo, Toshiba haven't made quality equipment for a few years
I'm a fan of Acer's, probably because I used to support them. That said,
I'm of the opinion that you should buy the cheapest thing that does the
job (within reason), because in 6 months it will be half the price
