At the risk of being chastised, shunned, maybe even tarred and feathered I
am going to ask this question:
My Canadian insurance underwriter (skipper plan) would only insure my 27’
sailboat to NYC (they would insure boats 30’ or larger to the Bahamas). I am
contemplating a trip to the Bahamas this fall and am thinking of not
bothering with insurance. I will be going through the canal systems and the
ICW. What say thou oh wise ones? Or does anyone know a source to get
insurance on my 27’ boat? Is it possible for US companies to insure a
Canadian boat? Any and ideas are welcomed. Please be gentle!
