I am thinking about a trip south beginning late March
2007, which is not a good time to leave the Puget
Sound. Does anyone on the list know of good places
for dry storage of a 42' sailboat in Southern
California? I won't need access to the boat after
getting to SoCal in September until near the departure
time, so dry storage should be way cheaper than a
marina slip - and probably more available. Another
way to go would be shipping the boat via truck to
SoCal if I cannot find a good storage location. Any
    information would be appreciated.

6-8 months in a slip will be no more expensive than having the boat hauled, the bottom cleaned, and dry storage here in SoCal.

    Check out Long Beach.
