Bill,
I agree with you completely.
I, to, lust after a band saw. I have to make do with my sabre saw (some
call it jig saw) and spend a lot of time truing up the cut. But I do make
a point of trying to hunt down folks who have one and I have been lucky
here in St Augustine and in Gloucester MA.
The other tool I would like is a sand blasting cabinet. Useful for
cleaning corroded metals, also for using a bench grinder while containing
the mess, and spray painting small items. With outside vent, good when
using nasty chemicals like solvents while parts cleaning.
