I find myself working more with wood lately, and I have some future
projects in mind too. Nothing too major, but I need to cut and shape
some wood to make a surround for the boat heater, build some protection
for the exhaust hoses in the lazarette, make a better way for the anchor
rode to drop into the locker, that kind of thing.
I have only the minimal tools now, am so lucky to have dock-friends with
tools and garages for storing them. I'd like to own the primary tools
myself.
As a live-aboard we have space limitations, so must select our tools
carefully. I don't have a workshop aboard, nor a work-table of any sort.
What would you recommend I have as woodwork tool inventory, with the
limitation that they have to be stored in the tight confines of my
boat?? This is a 50-foot Gulfstar, two-cabin model.
Thanks for your advice!
-Neal.
