I suggest you purchase a compound guage. That is one where the pointer is
normally at 12 o'clock position and then measures minus fifteen (full
    vacuum) to plus fifteen psi.

It would be best to have three if there is any screens or filters upstream
of the Racor (or other brand primary filter) like an electric fuel pump,
which you should have, one at the input of the Racor, one at the discharge
of the Racor and one at the discharge of the secondary filter on the
engine. The one on the engine must be liquid filled to withstand the
vibration without falling apart. I recommend stainless. Lately I've been
buying them at a local auto parts store for about $35.

I highly recommend an electric fuel pump between the tank and the Racor to
prime the fuel system, to drive the air out. Many a boat has come to grief
because of air in the fuel system. The only way to get it out is to pump
    fuel through the system.

Check out "Bandersnatch's Fuel System" in the archives to find out why I
    never have fuel problems.

You don't have to re-invent the wheel.
